Hey everyone! I'm Brian from the English site team at JAPANiCAN. I'm from the States, and I've been living in Japan (just outside Tokyo) for a while now. My favorite place to visit in Japan is Nara, an old town near Kyoto and Osaka that was once the nation's capital. The large temple there, Todaiji, is amazing, and the surrounding grounds and park are filled with friendly (sometimes a bit too friendly) deer roaming around freely. In my spare time, I like playing video games, watching sumo, and drinking. Japan has a lot of excellent alcoholic beverages, from beer and sake to shochu (a kind of Japanese liquor) and whiskey.
I know you can find a great place to go on our website, and I hope you discover your own favorite place in Japan!
